Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signed a new three-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until the end of 2024/25.
Arteta took over at Arsenal at the end of 2019 and helped the north London club return to their place in the top four in the Premier League to qualify for the European Champions League.
However, according to him, the Champions League is only the first step towards greatness.

He mentioned six things – apart from competing in Europe’s top-flight competition – that Arsenal must do if they want to level up.
“For the sake of bringing [Arsenal] to the next level and really competing with the top teams… we have to play in the Champions League,” he told Arsenal’s official website.
“We have to be able to evolve this team, improve the quality of our players, improve the quality of all departments, strengthen the connection with the fans, improve the atmosphere at the Emirates, be able to recruit top talent and the best people for this club to push this project to that level. “
Arteta’s performance at Arsenal
The Spaniard was appointed by Arsenal on 22 December 2019, following the collapse of Unai Emery’s regime, and this will be Arteta’s first job as senior team manager.
