The GGD reports this on Tuesday in the weekly update about corona infections in and around Amsterdam. Last week, 746 people in the city tested positive for the virus.
Largest group of new infections in Southeast
The number of people who tested positive has increased in all districts. Only in the Oost district has this remained roughly the same as in week 35. The largest increase in the number of positive tests was seen in the Zuidoost district, which recorded an increase of 56 percent.
The number of people who tested positive has also risen in the other municipalities in the safety region. The largest increase after the municipality of Amsterdam was seen in the municipality of Aalsmeer.
