Significant increase in number of positive corona tests reported | Inland

The number of deaths caused by Covid-19 increased by 59 over the past 24 hours, the highest number in months. That does not mean that all of these people have died in the past 24 hours. This information is sometimes passed on to RIVM with some delay. On Tuesday, the researchers reported that 46 people had recently died from the corona virus.

Since the start of the outbreak, more than 253,000 people in the Netherlands have been tested positive. More than 57,000 new infections have been reported in the past seven days.

Rotterdam-Rijnmond showed an increase last 24 hours of 947 new positive tests. Amsterdam-Amstelland counted 882 new cases, followed by the province of Utrecht with 722 positive tests. Central and West Brabant showed an increase of 696 positive tests. Haaglanden followed with 619 new cases.
