And the pricing committee tends, according to informed sources specialized in the economy, to reduce the prices of gasoline and diesel, due to the reduction in demand at the present time due to the curfew imposed by the Egyptian government, and also because of the decline in the global oil price.
The petrol and diesel pricing committee meeting will take place at the beginning of April.
Economic sources suggested that the prices of gasoline and diesel would be reduced, at a rate close to 10% of the current prices, as a result of the continuous decline in the prices of Brent crude beginning in 2020, as the frequency of decline increased from March this year, with an increase in the prevalence of the Corona virus and the price war.
The automatic pricing mechanism for petroleum products aims to adjust the selling prices of some petroleum products in the local market, up and down every quarter.
