Significant Decrease in SARS-CoV2 Spread and Hospital Admissions

The spread of the SARS-CoV2 coronavirus continued to decrease last week. In week 6 (February 5-11), the national average number of virus particles in the virus decreased sewage water by 24% compared to the week before.

The share of participants with a positive corona test result Infection radar(externe link) fell further compared to the previous week (0.5% to 0.4%)*. The number of hospital admissions of patients with SARS-CoV-2 has also decreased compared to the previous week (daily average number of admissions from 51 to 40)**. Last week there were an average of 195 patients with SARS-CoV-2 in hospital; that is less than in the previous week (average 256 patients).

In addition to SARS-CoV-2, other viruses and bacteria also cause respiratory infections.
