I’ve been running this beta feature for a week or so. It can sometimes be quite useful, although it is not a must-have feature.
It is a feature that has to wear out a bit, as it were. Once you’ve used it a few times and have chats where people interact a lot, then it’s quite handy.
Furthermore, Signal is really top notch. Made the full switch almost 2.5 years ago, and have never regretted it. Friends and family just went along, and some of them now use Signal primarily over WhatsApp.
