With version 6.7 the messenger received Signal some improvements for archived conversations. For example, archived chats that are muted now remain archived even after a new message arrives. This setting is deactivated by default and must therefore be activated manually:
- In the Signal app, tap the Account icon in the top left.
- Here you choose conversations.
- Activate with the slider Keep muted conversations archived.
Notice: This was done with an Android 11 device and Signal version 6.7.6, but works for iPhones too.
