The communication software WhatsApp recently required users to agree to the new privacy terms, otherwise the account would be cancelled, triggering a large number of user dissatisfaction and withdrawal, and also greatly increasing the number of users of another communication software Signal. However, since last night, some users have reported that they have failed to send and receive messages normally. Signal said that the program has a technical failure and is currently working hard to restore the service, but it has not been as usual after more than ten hours. “The speed of adding server capacity continues, thank users for their patience.

Signal said on Twitter that there was a technical failure in the program and it is currently working hard to restore the service. It also pointed out that privacy is the primary consideration. WhatsApp postpones users’ acceptance of new terms for 3 months
The communication software WhatsApp also announced that it will postpone the deadline for global users to accept the updated privacy terms from February 8 to May 15. If the user does not accept the new terms before May 15, the account will be disabled. However, the postponement of the deadline still failed to retain users. Signal said on Twitter earlier that the number of downloads of the program on January 12 increased from 10 million to 50 million.
