“Signal Box Failure Causes Disruptions on Munich-Ingolstadt Train Line”

Due to a defective signal box near Munich-Allach, there were disruptions on the section between Munich Central Station and Ingolstadt Central Station on Thursday morning. There were no train journeys between Munich main station and the station in Dachau possible.

The trains of line RE 1 (Munich Hbf – Ingolstadt Hbf – Nürnberg Hbf) and the trains of line RB 16 (Munich Hbf – Ingolstadt Hbf – Treuchtlingen – Nürnberg Hbf) turn around at the station in Dachau. The railway had set up a rail replacement service with taxis to relieve the morning rush hour in Munich. Shortly after 7 a.m., the railway reported that the signal box had been repaired.
