Well, I wanted to set as little as possible. There is now a / backups folder in my Android storage. It is synced by Syncthing.
It also includes my Aegis 2FA, a backup of my home launcher and some settings backups of other apps.

Indeed, all things that really don’t need to be synced every night.

In principle I can only use Syncthing for photos, which is not even necessary every night.

But then I have to switch to another app to be able to set a retention. Syncthing is pure syncing.

My server is also available via webdav (FileRun, a faster and lighter Nextcloud alternative). Then I need an app that supports webdav and retention policies. I already have the NextCloud app, but I don’t think it is possible.
