Jakarta – Former Prime Minister (PM) of Japan Shinzo Abe was shot from behind by an unknown person using a shotgun. Shinzo Abe collapsed on the street covered in blood.
As the photo reported AP News, Friday (8/7/2022), Shinzo Abe wore a dark suit with a white shirt. Shinzo Abe seemed to have collapsed on the side of the road.
Shinzo Abe’s body was clearly visible, blood was visible on Abe’s white coat on the left chest. A number of people who were near Shinzo Abe looked panicked.

Shinzo Abe was seen lying on the side of the road and surrounded by a number of people. A man in a yellow shirt was seen providing first aid to Abe by pressing Abe’s chest.
Shinzo Abe is known to have been rushed to the hospital after being shot down by an unknown person. Shinzo Abe was reportedly shot with a shotgun from behind.
Reported by the news agency NHK As quoted on Friday (8/7), the fire department said Shinzo Abe was in cardiac arrest. Shinzo Abe was shot while giving a speech in the Nara region.
Police said Shinzo Abe was likely shot in the back. The shooter’s weapon is believed to be a shotgun.
An NHK reporter who was at the scene said Abe was bleeding. The reporter heard two gunshots before Shinzo Abe fell to the ground.
