Her CARACTERISTICS

This dependency detailed that the American White Pelican is one of the three species of pelicans of the New World, most of its plumage is white except for the primary feathers that are observed in flight, it is also the only species that develops a horn on its beak during the reproductive season that occurs between March and April.

Specimens of this species fly in circles at great heights and most of their populations are migratory; some of them are residents of the coasts of Texas and Mexico, others migrate by day from north to southeastern and southwestern America in the direction of coastal lands, and some other non-breeding specimens spend the summer in their distribution area.
