First and foremost: we are fans, so perhaps this reporting cannot be called 100% neutral. But we really hope that Zijkanaal C, the unusual home furnishings store of the Zaan will find a permanent place and continue to exist.

Marene Kok emailed us to tell us that Zijkanaal C was given fourteen days to leave the plinth of the Beatrixflat because the developer of the homes on Peperstraat (who wants to demolish the flat) is going to sit there himself.

The furniture store is now located at Peperstraat 134a. Worth visiting!
