Mexico City. 10 months after the devastating hurricane Otis In Guerrero, toll collection will resume at the Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway and the Acapulco Western Bypass starting Monday, August 26, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reported.
The federal agency indicated that from 00:00:01 on August 26, payment will be reactivated for vehicles that cross the Paso Morelos, Palo Blanco and La Venta toll booths, located on the Cuernavaca-Acapulco Highway; as well as La Venta Bis, which is located on the Libramiento Poniente de Acapulco Highway.
The measure was implemented by the federal government as part of the Technical Operational Emergency caused by Hurricane Otis, which devastated the port and other municipalities of Guerrero last October.
Since this measure has already concluded, SICT asked the population to take into account that toll collection will resume.
The agency noted that during these months this aid benefited around 9.4 million light vehicles that circulated through these toll booths, which means approximately 18.8 million people made use of this support from the federal government.
