“Sick” woman was revealed on TV during the European Championships

Nina Farooqi, 37, took sick leave to watch the semi-final between England and Denmark.

Then the boss saw her when she was celebrating on TV and fired her from work.

“I would do the same thing again if I had the chance,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

On TV pictures, Nina Farooqi is seen celebrating her first English goal with great joy. The camera zooms in on her as she jumps, screams and celebrates.

Not a strange picture during a European Championship semi-final, if it were not for the fact that Farooqi’s employer thought she was ill at home.

The supporter had not asked for time off, but said that she was ill. She knew there was a shortage of people at work and chose to lie to get the opportunity to watch the match with her friend, who at the last minute won tickets to the match.

“Got no sympathy”

On the way to work the next day, the boss called and explained that she might as well return home.

– They said they saw that I was at the match, and I was honest about why I did as I did. But I got no sympathy, but they said that now it had to be enough. It is their decision and a consequence I have to take, she tells The Daily Telegraph and continues:

– I regret a little, no one wants to be fired, but I would also hate that the regret of missing the match. I would do the same again if I had the chance, she says.
