Sick Leave Extended: Sirius Sports Director Shares Personal Health Struggle

Sirius’ sports director Ola Andersson, 56, took sick leave the other week.

Now he tells why.

– In February I had a heart attack. I have realized and accepted that the body requires more recovery than I first thought, he says in a statement.

The week before last, Sirius announced that their sports manager, also a former TV profile, Ola Andersson, had taken sick leave and that he is expected to be back at work on June 5.

It won’t be like that.

The sick leave is extended.

“Listening to the body”

The reason is that Ola Andersson suffered a heart attack in February.

– This time I am allowed to listen to my body’s signals. On doctor’s prescription, I am therefore on sick leave for some time to come. I long to return to the blue-black community, but for now I need to support the team from home – cheers Sirius, he says in a statement.

Sirius club director Christer Abrahamsson will handle matters relating to the club’s sporting activities until further notice.
