Mafia: The Old Country can also be played in Sicilian. So expect a great experience with the local language spoken on the island.

The Mafia social media account made the news last week, after the advertisement during Gamescom Opening Night Live. He did so after criticizing the voice acting options available, where Italian was conspicuously missing. It is now clear that Sicilian, which is essentially different from the Italian language, is one of the available languages.

Mafia is set in Sicily in the early 1900s for all previous parts. According to publisher 2K Games, you’ll experience “action brought to life with extreme realism and rich storytelling.” Hangar 13, previously responsible for Mafia 3 and Mafia: Definitive Edition, is developing the game.

Mafia: The Old Country will be released next year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Until September 2, you can get every game in the Mafia franchise at a discount on Steam.
