In the last 24 hours, Portugal recorded 121 more cases of covid-19. For the first time in several months, the North again overtook the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley in the number of new infections daily.
According to Ricardo Mexia, President of the National Association of Public Health Doctors, some outbreaks may explain these figures. He also said that such objective conclusions cannot be drawn and that the Northern region has more citizens than Lisbon and the Tagus Valley.
WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM THE SECOND VACANCY
Even after several months of discussing and clarifying issues related to Covid-19, the new information that is coming in needs to be clarified. At present, there are eight vaccines in phase III of clinical trials – the last phase before distribution and administration, which tests the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.
A vaccine announced by Russia, which will be produced in September and will start to be administered in January 2021, has not gone through this phase, nor has it convinced the scientific community, including Russia.
