A book that “reveals everything” about the Trump family, written by niece Mary Trump, has been prevented by the New York court from being published for the time being.
The complaint was filed by Trump’s brother Robert, who accuses Mary of violating a “family pact” of not revealing family matters.
New York State Supreme Court judge Hal B. Greenwald now requires Mary Trump and the publisher to present their justification because they should not be prevented from publishing the book “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man “(How much and never enough: how my family created the most dangerous man in the world).
The hearing was scheduled for July 10.
“Trauma, neglect, abuse”
The book, due out in July, was written by Mary Trump, the daughter of Fred Trump Jr., the president’s older brother, who died in 1981.
In an online description of the book he says that it reveals “a nightmare of trauma, destructive relationships and a tragic combination of neglect and abuse”.

Breach of a family agreement
Donald’s older brother Robert Trump argues that Mary Trump must comply with an agreement between family members that such a book cannot be published without the permission of other family members.
Robert Trump claims that Mary Trump is part of an almost two-decade-old agreement that includes a confidentiality clause that explicitly says that no member of the family “will publish any matter relating to litigation or family relationships” unless everyone agrees.
The judge therefore decided that no part of the book could be distributed until he decided on the validity of Robert Trump’s claims.
Mary Trump’s lawyer, Theodore J. Boutrous Jr., and the editor, Simon & Schuster, promised to appeal the decision.
“The court’s temporary restraining order is only temporary, but it is a restriction that violates the First Amendment,” says the lawyer in a statement. “This book, which deals with matters of great importance and national interest about a President in office in an election year, should not be stopped for even a day.”
For his part, Robert Trump’s lawyer, Charles Harder, said his client was “very pleased”, accusing Mary Trump and the publisher of “truly reprehensible” attitudes.
