SIA Betono Mozaika Achieves 6% Increase in Turnover in 2023 Despite Shorter Construction Season- Invests in Modernization and Innovation

The manufacturer of concrete paving stone and small architectural elements SIA “Betono mozaika” closed 2023 with a turnover of 10.8 million euros, which is 6% more than in 2022, despite the fact that the construction season was much shorter than usual.

The company constantly invests in the modernization of production plant equipment and the introduction of new technologies. “In 2023, total investments reached one million euros, when the largest funds were invested to ensure product quality and increase production volume. In addition, loading and unloading, as well as warehouse equipment is being modernized to ensure faster and more efficient customer service,” says Romas Vanckus, member of the board of SIA “Betono mozaika”.

Last year, the “Logify” transport system was also installed, which allows you to effectively plan transport flow, product loading, as well as create a customer schedule, determining a convenient sequence and speed in order to serve as many cooperation partners as possible in a much shorter time.

Various projects were implemented last year, also developing special pavement solutions for customers. One of the biggest was the Swedbank head office project in Tallinn, when, in cooperation with Kino Maastikuarchitektid, a special new diamond-shaped pavement was created just for this construction site. On the other hand, projects such as “Dr. Mauriņa clinic”, utility buildings in Dūrmuiža, wooden office building “Avoti” in Lizum, “ELVI” shopping quarter in Mārupe, shopping center “Spice” promenade and “Gustava business center” 1st round.

This year, one of the most important and unique projects, where the pavement produced by SIA “Betono mozaika” will be used, will be the waterfront promenade of Mūkusala Street, which will be carried out by the architectural team “BM – project”.

In this year, 2024, SIA “Betono mozaika” predicts a moderate increase in turnover and sales in the range of 5% to 7%, which is planned to be achieved with the implementation of new and existing projects, as well as increasing exports to the Estonian market.

Currently, the company is also preparing a project to build a solar park on the roofs of existing factories, thus reducing the cost of energy resources in order to manage more efficiently.

Betono mozaika SIA, a manufacturer of concrete paving stones and small architectural elements, was founded in 2013 and last year celebrated its ten-year anniversary in the Latvian market. More than ten million euros have been invested in the establishment of factories in Riga. The company manufactures landscaping products and supplies them to major construction companies, hardware stores, small paving companies and private customers. Currently, SIA “Betono mozaika” produces more than one million square meters of pavement per year. In 2022, the turnover of the company was 10.4 million euros.
