Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin made a phone call yesterday (28th) and reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen relations.

He also explained that the two leaders have reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthen cooperation in the international sphere.
In a statement by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Xi Jinping stressed that the strategic cooperation between China and Russia could effectively resist all attempts to oppress and divide the two countries and create a strong shield to maintain international fairness and justice.
Xi also said that China and Russia need to strengthen strategic cooperation, and that China wants to develop a full-scale strategic partnership with Russia in the new Chinese-Russian era.
President Xi and President Putin have agreed to continue regular communication in a variety of ways in the future.
