Got the gate at the end of Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport it is very tiring for some travelers. However, after many complaints, now there is a shuttle bus.
So, besides the golf car, travelers who are tired of walking to the gate at the end of the terminal can use this bus. The facility started operating last week.
“So the solution that has been done now is a golf car. But in line with the development of traffic which continues to increase, it is impossible for us to add many more existing golf cars,” said AP II Managing Director Muhammad Awaluddin in Injourney, Thursday (13/4/2023) .
“Because the placement of this golf car is specific, one is for the elderly, pregnant women and people with disabilities. So that in line with the expansion of aircraft traffic, plus terminal three has also been occupied by Pelita Air, previously only Garuda and Citilink,” he explained.
“So we take an alternative for passengers who are at gate 22-28 at the far end, we provide a bus provided by AP II. So that earlier the movement was by golf car, now there is a shuttle bus,” explained Awaluddin.
So, a traveler only needs to get off after passing through Gate 13, then enter the shuttle bus. Then the traveler will be escorted to gate 22-28.
“So we will continue to maintain it so that the facility provides comfort for prospective passengers who will fly through terminal three. From the perspective of terminal three, from pear one to pier two the distance is 1.2 kilometers, so if you go from pier one to pier two it is approximately 2 .4 kilometers,” said Awaluddin.
It should be noted that the shuttle bus between the gates is free of charge free of charge. And, the operation coincides with the airline’s operating hours.
“So as long as the airline is operating, as long as the shuttle bus is operating. Anyone who is in terminal three can ride it,” said Awaluddin.
“We have just put it into operation because there has been a lot of input from Commissions 5 and 6 of the DPR RI, because we can’t possibly add a golf car, it will be very crowded,” he added.
