Shulesca does not give up: the truth about her murdered cousin must be revealed

Large beamer projections with a photo of Rosleny Magdalena can be seen in Amsterdam-Zuidoost in the coming days. Six years ago, she was murdered after taking her daughter to school. Rosleny’s cousin Shulesca has only one goal with the beamer action: to make people talk. “They haven’t said anything here for six years.”

It is the neighborhood where she grew up, but Shulesca de la Croes prefers to return to Zuidoost as little as possible. It’s hard, she says. “The anger is so high. You don’t trust anyone.” Today she’s back to bring attention to the unsolved murder case of her cousin Rosleny.

Golden tip

And how: a projection of Rosleny’s face of about twenty meters long adorns the AFAS Live. “In the coming days we will do this throughout Southeast,” says Kelly de Vries.

The daughter of Peter R. de Vries continues the foundation of her father, who wants to get stuck investigations going smoothly. “We believe this case has ingredients to be solved.” The golden tip receives 100,000 euros. And the tip to the identity of a person cycling by can be rewarded with 25,000 euros.

To talk

The investigation into Shulesca’s murder is progressing smoothly: so far one person has been arrested and that case has since been dropped. That’s also because the people in Southeast don’t want to talk, says Shulesca. “They haven’t said anything here for six years. It’s sad. I hope for those people that they don’t have to be in my shoes.”

But Shulesca doesn’t give up. “It has to be. Also for my niece, Rosleny’s daughter. I was with her this week, she said: ‘I can’t give mom a place until I know who did this’. That hurts.”
