Mexico City.– Alfonso Obregonrecognized voice actor famous for giving voice to Shrek in Latin Americahas been found not guilty of sexual abuse allegations against him.
The actor was arrested in August 2024 in the Mexico City International Airportfollowing a complaint filed by a student who participated in one of their dubbing courses, who claimed to feel uncomfortable with one of their teaching methods.
The announcer, director and interpreter also shared that after being arrested, he was transferred to the Northern Men’s Preventive Prison.
He August 16thbeing detained, received a second arrest warrant because another student in the same class reported him for the same reason.
Following a judicial process, the judge issued a dismissal resolution, acquitting Obregón of all charges due to lack of evidence.
The actor expressed his relief and gratitude for the support he received during this difficult period.
Obregón clarified that this experience led him to reflect and adjust his teaching methods to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all his students, through a statement shared on his Instagram account. @obregoninclan.
