BIG-GERAU. (kpa). The Groß-Gerau municipal cinema will show the film “Nostalgia” on Tuesday, October 24th. The venue is the cinema, Mittelstraße 2/corner of Darmstädter Straße. The performances start at 5:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Mario Martone’s sensitive Italian drama tells the story of a man who returns to his hometown of Naples after 40 years. The film was nominated for the Oscar for best foreign language film and is unparalleled in its atmospheric intensity and the calm and intensity with which it is told. Despite the noticeable tension and thanks to an all-pervading melancholy, the story resembles a prayer-like contemplation, according to the announcement. The entrance fee is 5.50 euros, members of the VHS circle of friends pay 4 euros. Reservations are not possible.
