FRANKFURT – On Tuesday evening around 11 p.m., an 18-year-old from Frankfurt fired several shots in the air on the railway grounds in the Frankfurt district of Gallus.

As the police reported, employees of the security service of the DB AG were also on the railway premises on Weilburger Strasse at this time and immediately alerted the Federal Police Inspection in Frankfurt am Main.

As a result, several federal and state police patrols went to the scene of the incident, where the shooter was already being held by the DB Sicherheit patrol.

According to the security service, the person concerned went away with an e-scooter after the shots. A little later he returned and could then be held until the emergency services arrived.

During the search of the person, a alarm gun and a small gun license were found and secured by the federal police. An administrative offense procedure was initiated against the person concerned and the weapon and the small gun license were handed over to the responsible regulatory authority.
