Shots fired in front of a hospital in Seine-Saint-Denis: “Don’t get out, someone has just shot!”

Strong emotion this Wednesday evening in the Vert-Galant private hospital in Tremblay-en-France (Seine-Saint-Denis). It was 7:45 p.m. when four detonations rang out. The shots were fired inside the hospital, “in front of the emergency entrance”, indicates a source close to the investigation. Four cartridge cases were found at this location shortly after.

Fortunately, we do not deplore any injuries. Witnesses saw a fairly young man flee immediately after the incident, still armed. “He was someone who seemed very pissed off,” remarked a hospital worker on the ground floor. Less than an hour after his flight behind the wheel of his vehicle, he was arrested at his home in Villeparisis (Seine-et-Marne), without causing any difficulty. This is a 33-year-old man.

The circumstances of the incident remain somewhat unclear for the time being. An internal source indicates that “the man came to visit his hospitalized grandmother. He was accompanied by his cousin and it was with her that he had an altercation ”while he was still in the old lady’s room.

But without carrying out his threat. He then fled. It was only when he was in front of the emergency room that he fired four shots in the air. After leaving the place, but decidedly still very upset against his cousin, he would have called her on the phone threatening her again to kill her.

The shooting episode was brief but the sharp sound of the detonations caused great emotion among staff, patients and visitors. A caregiver who was leaving his service saw people in fear. A child even shouted at him: “Don’t come out sir, don’t come out, someone just shot!” “

An officer confirms that there was a moment of panic. He is surprised, however, that this visitor, who was probably in possession of his weapon when he entered the health establishment, was able to foil the security patrol at the entrance.
