Shots Fired at MTA Buses in East Harlem: No Injuries Reported

Two MTA buses were shot by unknown suspects while traveling westbound on 125th Street in East Harlem.

Our colleague Rolman Vergara, from Univision 41, went to the scene and confirmed that one of the projectiles hit the window of one of the buses, while in the other vehicle, the bullet entered through the engine area.

The incident occurred at 2:40 p.m. this Wednesday.

Both shots are believed to have come from a NYCHA public housing residence, however, there is no police confirmation.

So far, authorities have made no arrests and are investigating what happened.

It’s a miracle there were no injuries.

Rolman Vergara explained that 125th Street is very busy, so it is miraculous that no one was injured by a gunshot.

He also noted that the schools had already finished teaching, so at the time of the shooting, there were mothers walking with their children.

“The police went up and down, they didn’t know what was happening. We saw many ambulances and police,” a passerby told Univision 41.
