Rib broken
An examination in the hospital revealed a small projectile in the boy’s liver. It is probably a bullet. When fired, the pellet broke a boy’s rib and ended up in his liver through his right lung.
“He wasn’t really there,” says his mother about what happened immediately afterwards. “He said hold me, I’m falling. I tried to get him to calm down, to let him breathe easy.”
Didn’t fall off the fence
After the ambulance arrived, he said he had been shot at and had not fallen off a fence, as the friends thought he was playing with.

Doctors decided to leave the bullet. His mother is still in the dark about the circumstances. “I don’t know if it happened by accident or if someone did it on purpose. My son could have been dead.”
Accidentally hit?
Police believe he may not have been deliberately hit. “Maybe someone shot the group of boys out of wantonness, or it was an accidental shot and the boy was accidentally hit,” said a police spokesman in Investigation Requested.
