Shot and killed on date

American TikTok star Anthony Barajas (19) was shot on Monday this week when a person fired shots in the middle of a film screening at a cinema in the city of Corona outside Los Angeles in the USA.

Barajas was on a date with a girl when the tragedy occurred, according to Insider. He and 18-year-old Rylee Goodrich were found by cinema staff only after the film ended. Goodrich was confirmed dead immediately.

Barajas was rushed to hospital and placed on a respirator, where he has struggled for several days to survive. On Saturday, local police went out and confirmed that he had died as a result of the injuries after the shooting.

Died

He died Saturday morning, just 19 years old. His nearly one million followers on the video sharing app TikTok are now in mourning after the tragic death.

“We send our thoughts and condolences to his family and friends,” the police wrote the statement. Police also say that the case is under investigation, and that a 20-year-old man has been arrested, suspected of murder.

Police also say that they do not yet know what the 20-year-old’s motive was.

Goodrich’s father has stated to American media that the daughter and Barajas were on their first date together. They were watching the movie “The Forever Purge” at the Regal Edwards cinema when shots were suddenly fired at them. It was the cleaning staff who found them after the end of the film.
