Turkish Özgür Gevrekoğlu (32) lost his life when he was apparently shot and killed by his own pet during a hunting trip in Alaçam, near Samsun province.

The friend arrested first
According to The Telegraph The 32-year-old’s hunting partner was arrested for the first time for the murder.
Later it should have been known that it was probably the dog that triggered the killing blow.
Gevrekoğlu, who had become a father just ten days earlier, allegedly loaded the loaded rifle, along with other hunting equipment, into the trunk of the car when the hunting dog jumped in and pulled the trigger, writes the Turkish newspaper Such.
The 32-year-old was said to have been shot in the stomach and died almost instantly.

The hunting partner, arrested first, was released on Sunday. The man has not been named.
According to Turkish media, the prosecutor’s office has called for a full investigation into Gevrekoğlu’s death.

The man was buried in his hometown on Monday this week. The new father is said to have been an avid hunter and dog lover. It is not known which dog would have fired the killing shot.
