Shorts, music and science against sexist violence in Moaña

Activity for the 25N held in 2019, before the pandemic.

The City of Moaña has just made public its schedule of activities scheduled around the International Day Against Gender Violence. They will begin this Friday, November 19, with a talk-colloquium around the book “Galicians in science”, by Isabel Blanco, and that covers outstanding women in the scientific field. It will be at 7.30 pm at the Casa do Concello.

On Thursday, November 25, which is the day against sexist violence itself, at 12 noon a institutional manifesto in the City Council and women victims of this violence will be honored in 2021, with an exhibition of cloths woven by the users of the Association of Women and Poza da Moura. At 6:00 p.m., at the premises of the Association of Mulleres, the social worker will give a talk Worship Rods Noguerol, of the Office of Victims Attention of the Vigo Deanery. In the same space the Coro Chorima will put the music to give way later to a Civic procession to the Alameda olive tree, with a poetry reading.

The last activities will be on November 26 with a screening of short films about the 25N followed by a “coffee talk”. It will be at the Rosalía de Castro Cultural Center in Domaio and will be organized by Poza da Moura.
