Shortly before the election: Climate list wants to adopt program – Baden-Württemberg

Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – After the previous party conference had to be canceled due to technical problems, the climate list wants to officially adopt its election program today. “We are confident that we will bring it cleanly over the stage,” said board member Alexander Grevel of the German press agency. To be on the safe side, a test run was carried out before the new digital party congress. The preliminary program can already be viewed online.

The climate list was founded in Freiburg at the end of September and will compete in the state elections next Sunday with the overarching goal of slowing global warming. You see yourself as a “one-goal party” and as an “offer to people who are waiting for a consistent climate protection policy and comprehensive climate justice,” said Grevel. The climate list has put up candidates in 67 of 70 constituencies in Baden-Württemberg and is confident that it will be able to overcome the five percent hurdle for entry into the Stuttgart state parliament. Political scientists, however, doubt it.
