Shorter journey times, more stable timetable – Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district

The new timetable concerns the three lakes railway. The departure times of the S-1 trains are shifted by 30 minutes.

With the Deutsche Bahn timetable change, from Sunday 11 December there will be a shift in the timetable service on the Three Lakes Railway: by 30 minutes on weekdays and by 20 minutes on Sundays and public holidays during the day. According to the Regio-Verkehrsverbund Freiburg (RVF) and the Zweckverband Regio Nahverkehr (ZRF), this shift is intended to shorten travel times and stabilize the timetable.

The trains to Seebrugg therefore run in tandem with those to Villingen from Freiburg to Titisee and thus in the opposite direction. On weekdays, trains from Breisach and Endingen run together from Gottenheim to Neustadt and back. The departure from Freiburg (6:42) takes place with trains Endingen-Villingen and Breisach-Seebrugg connected to Titisee. Departure from Himmelreich is at 6:58. On Sundays and public holidays there is an hourly hiker service to the Dreiseenbahn (Titisee from 8:21 instead of 8:59). There is an evening break when we leave Titisee for Seebrugg between 18:20 and 19:58.

From Monday to Friday, the first train from Villingen (with a connection at Seebrugg) terminates in Freiburg at 6:07. There is now a regular connection in the direction of Kaiserstuhl on the same platform with a minimum transfer time of four minutes at 6.11am. In Himmelreich, the train from Villingen/Seebrugg leaves at 7:01 am, because the following auxiliary train now runs separately as an empty run from Freiburg to Himmelreich (arrival at 7:07 am) and back from there at 7:13 am. On Sundays and public holidays there is a break from 18:10 to 19:31.
