Shorter, colder days in the week before winter sets in

After a sunny weekend, free of rain and with somewhat warmer temperatures, as of Tuesday the cold and humid days continue with frosts in the early mornings, fogs and fogs. Winter began for climatology with the sixth month of the year, but from the astronomical approach it formally enters next Monday, June 21 at 00:32 hours on the Solstice of Cancer. On the other hand, the passage of cloudiness will continue but this week the precipitations will be generally scarce and isolated, and the predominance will be for the winter cold.

Agro-meteorological approach:

With the improvement of the meteorological conditions, the work suspended by the intense rains of June 4 and 5 was resumed in a very strong way, although last week the high ambient humidity content and the morning dew did not generate ideal conditions for the tasks. Harvests of second-rate sorghum and corn are still being carried out. A variety of jobs, mainly winter sowings, continue with the maximum development of the potential of the Uruguayan campaign. The first shoots of wheat and rapeseed are being seen that withstood the heavy rainfall. Sanitary applications could be affected in the South and East by somewhat strong winds on Tuesday as fertilization work continues. Rodeos and flocks are favored by the recomposition and good development of meadows and natural pastures. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays frosts are expected. Low temperatures will be slightly below normal this week as will highs. Regarding rainfall, isolated types are expected between Friday and Saturday, and in general, weak and scarce, although some moderate events are possible in the South and East.
