otoseken.id – Cars with automatic or automatic transmissions are in great demand in urban areas, especially for those of you who often encounter traffic jams, obviously using a manual car will be more painful and annoying.
Because driving an automatic car is easier than a manual car that has to depress the clutch and automatically change the gearbox’s acceleration ratio.
Automatic or automatic transmission is said to be easier and more comfortable due to the work of the clutch and gear shifting that is performed automatically, both CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) and conventional type automatic transmissions.
But behind the comfort and convenience, driving a car with the wrong automatic transmission can shorten the life of a car’s automatic transmission.
Hermas Efendi Prabowo, senior technician and owner of a specialized workshop WornerMatic in Bintaro, South Tangerang, said there are at least 6 mistakes drivers often make unknowingly when driving an automatic car.
1. Shift from D to R or vice versa, the car has not come to a complete stop
When you want to move the shift lever from D to R or vice versa, make sure the car comes to a complete stop.
Because if you move the lever while the car is still moving, you will cause stress on the gearbox components.
“Because components whose two opposing motions meet, excessive stress and friction occur,” Hermas explained.
