The Parents du 94 collective, which brings together federations and associations of parents of students from Val-de-Marne, accompanied by education unions, political organizations and elected officials have thus planned to meet in front of the metro Solférino at 2:30 p.m. to walk to the ministry. They are calling for an emergency plan for education in Val-de-Marne and have launched a petition which has so far collected about 600 signatures.
“We will all be in striped sailors, sing songs on the theme of SOS school underwater and place thousands of lifebuoys on the facade of the Ministry to say loud and clear NO to the drowning of our school system”indicate the organizers who denounce pell-mell the absences of non-replaced teachers, the closing of classes and the lack of accompanying persons for disabled students (AESH).

Priority to teacher recruitment for the start of the 2022 school year
On the side of the local trade union organizations Snudi-FO, Snuipp-FSU, Se-Unsa, CGT-FERC and Sud Education, we demand “the organization of an exceptional recruitment competition at license level, so that each student has a teacher in front of them at the start of the school year”. In this year’s competition, only 521 teachers were eligible for 1,079 places. “Even if everyone is taken orally, more than 500 teachers will therefore be missing and this will be felt in the lack of substitutes and class closures”, deplores Magali Trarieux, Snuipp delegate who is worried about urgent recruitment of contract workers at the start of the school year, “without training and without status”.

Maisons-Alfort, Le Plessis-Trévise, La Queue-en-Brie, the movement is spreading
In parallel with this trip to Paris, other actions are underway or planned in the Val-de-Marne. Thus, in Plessis-Trévise, a musical procession from the Camus college to the town hall was organized this Monday by the Snes-Fsu and the local FCPE and PEEP federations to protest against overstaffed classes and several deserted positions (manager, music teacher, AESH, chef, SVT teacher, school doctor, supervisor, etc.). The same day in Maisons-Alfort, in front of the Herriot college, the local FCPE distributed leaflets at the exit of the establishment to protest, among other things, against the closing of classes.
In La Queue-en-Brie, the independent association Acipe, organizes on June 20 at 8 am in front of the elementary school Kergomard a demonstration against the closing of a class at the start of the school year. “In two years the school has gone from 9 to 7 classes. We don’t accept it”explains Marie Auffray, the president of the association. A petition with the FCPE was launched.
Fewer students at the start of the school year
For its part, the rectorate of Créteil was reassuring about the next school year, announcing more teachers for fewer students. 13,000 fewer students expected in the first degree at the start of the next school year in the Créteil Academy, as well as 3,000 fewer students in middle school and 500 in high school.
