Guanajuato, Gto.- The shortage in the world of diluents and syringes has delayed the application of the vaccine against COVID-19, in minors in the state of Guanajuato.
The foregoing was reported by the head of the Secretary of Health of the state of Guanajuato (SSG) Daniel Díaz Martínez, who pointed out that there is still no date for the agency in charge to supply the 162,396 Pfizer doses to immunize the sector. of the population between 12 and 14 years of age.
The secretary of health, assured that the biological is already available to be applied, so it is only waiting for the arrival of said supplies. He specified that the lack of syringes and diluents corresponds to a global shortage and not attributable to any government.

The state official said that the more than 162 thousand doses would be enough to vaccinate half of the population group and whose distribution is subject to the agreements that exist between other institutions in the health sector.
He stated that more than 9 million doses have been applied in the different population groups of Guanajuato.
