Netflix and TikTok are two of the most used applications in Spain, and until now they did not have much in common. The first one offers films, series and documentaries in streaming; while the second focuses on short videos that anyone can create. However now Netflix has combined the two worlds with its latest feature.
The company has announced a new feature of its mobile app, called ‘Easy Laughs’. With it, Netflix offers a full-screen channel with short comedy videos from their extensive catalog, from movies to series and monologues by well-known comedians.
This new feature is reminiscent of TikTok, and not just because it includes short vertical videos. There is another characteristic that both platforms share, and that is that once a fragment ends, a new one begins automatically. This new option is exclusive to the mobile application and for the moment it can only be accessed from an iPhone.
How does it work?
To access the ‘Easy Laughs’ function, you just have to find the corresponding tab in the lower navigation menu of the mobile application, where you will find the ‘Start’, ‘Coming soon’, ‘Searches’ and ‘Downloads’ buttons.

When you click on the tab, the clips will start playing and when one ends, another will start. The company’s goal is that “the laughs keep coming”, as indicated in a statement.
This function also presents an interesting feature, as users can add series, movies and stand-up specials to their list. They can even start seeing them right away and share these short videos individually in other apps, like WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter.
On iPhone
However, Netflix has wanted to make it clear that not all ‘Easy Laughs’ videos are suitable for all audiences, so you have to be especially careful with what and with whom they are shared. At the moment it is unknown when this new function will be available for Android devices, although the company has confirmed that tests on this operating system will begin soon.
In the same way, for now ‘Easy Laughs’ is only active in selected countriessuch as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. To be able to enjoy this feature in Spain, we will have to wait a little longer, since Netflix intends to extend this function to all its subscribers.
