It will be tropical warm in the coming days. The mercury goes crescendo especially on Friday: up to 36 degrees, both on the coast and inland. It is not a record, which fell in the previous summer: on July 25 a temperature of 39.7 was measured in Uccle. According to Deboosere, this is a ‘short-lived summer surge’. Because from Sunday, the mercury will drop to 22 degrees again, with cooler sea air, and early next week a rain zone will also sweep over the land.
Code yellow
Due to the high temperatures, code yellow applies to the entire country on Friday. “Be vigilant,” says the RMI. “At such temperature values, measures can be taken to protect older and weaker people, by making them drink more and not linger in direct sunlight.” In Hainaut, code orange even applies, so the above measures are necessary.
Today, Thursday, it will be sunny with only some high or medium high cloud fields in the north of the country. It is already quite warm with maximums of 23 to 28 degrees, and even 29 degrees in Belgian Lorraine. Thursday evening and night it is clear or slightly cloudy and soft with minima between 12 and 18 degrees. The wind blows weak to moderate.
Friday is a very warm and sunny day. We reach maximums of 29 to 32 in the Ardennes, and from 33 to 35 degrees in the center. The wind blows weak or moderate from the southeast. In the evening some more clouds may slide in in the west of the country. At night the chance of a shower or a thunderstorm may increase.
Later during the weekend clouds and clouds alternate and there is a chance of some local showers on Saturday. On Sunday there is also a chance of some showers, especially in the center and the north of the country. It remains very warm with maximums between 23 and 32 degrees on Saturday and 20 to 24 degrees on Sunday.

Monday it is partly to sometimes partly cloudy with a chance of a local shower. We may expect rain from the coast in the evening and at night. Maximums between 19 and 23 degrees.
Tuesday it is overcast with periods of precipitation, especially in the morning. Afterwards it gets drier gradually. Maximums between 18 and 22 degrees.
