Shopping with a mask at Zara, H&M, Mango & Co .: These corona rules now apply

Finally! The country-wide shutdown is gradually being relaxed a little. Even fashion stores are allowed to slowly reopen – as long as their sales area is less than 800 square meters and they can guarantee strict Corona hygiene regulations.

In a press release dated April 20, 2020, fashion giant Mango announced that it had already reopened 135 points of sale in Europe. There should be 620 shops by the end of April. These include stores in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Georgia, Cyprus and the Ukraine.

Which stores / branches open again?

  • Customer access is limited in the shops.
  • Safety distances must be observed.
  • Employees and customers must wear masks at all times. If you don’t have one with you, a mask will be provided.
  • Disinfectant gel and safety gloves are available at various points in the stores.
  • Shops, furniture and materials are cleaned and disinfected several times a day.
  • The opening times are limited.
  • If possible, customers should pay by card to keep contact to a minimum

HM

In an official statement dated April 22, 2020, H&M announced the first openings (also of subsidiary brands): “Of course, we adhere to the various decisions and changes to the guidelines of the federal government / countries and the responsible authorities. We use our forward-looking planning on flexibility in order to meet the relevant requirements and to be able to open individual stores of the H&M Group nationwide. We are confident that we can react so carefully, also considering the fact that the situation can change from one day to the next. ” In a customer newsletter dated April 21, 2020, it also says: “You can find out whether and at what times your favorite shop has already opened in our store locator.”

A spokeswoman for H&M said on request from GLAMOR on April 22, 2020: “The first H&M stores opened yesterday, and today the other brands of the H&M Group started.” Due to the dynamic developments, H&M does not want to provide any information about the individual locations. The following corona security measures apply in the H&M stores:

It is not yet known whether changing rooms can be used or whether entry is regulated. However, the newsletter says: “In order to make the reunion as safe as possible for both our colleagues and customers, we naturally adhere to the guidelines of the responsible authorities and the applicable distance and hygiene regulations.” In other words, the obligation to wear a mask and minimum distances are to be assumed.

Zara

Many Zara branches (as larger than 800 square meters) remain temporarily closed with a few exceptions, according to the web shop of the high street chain. But that too can change every day. Customers should therefore find out about the

The popular fashion label has reopened almost all stores since April 20, 2020. Munich followed last on April 27th, we are told if we ask personally.

Which stores / branches open again?

While the edited shops in Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Cologne are open normally, the opening hours of a few other branches have changed a bit:

  • Hamburg & Berlin: Opening hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Cologne & Stuttgart: Opening hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Frankfurt: current opening times from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Vienna: current opening times from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Munich: Opening hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The following corona security measures apply in the edited stores:

  • Only a limited number of customers can be in the store at the same time.
  • The hands must be disinfected before entry – sufficient disinfectant is of course available.
  • Wearing mouth-nose protection is mandatory.
  • The general distance rules of 1.5 meters apply in the store.
  • Cashless payment is preferred.

We currently have no detailed information. But what applies (as in all shops) is the mask requirement. In addition, the sales area must not exceed 800 square meters. In Cos stores, only one person can be admitted per 20 square meters of retail space.

Guess

As Guess informed in a press release, the company has started opening its stores in Germany again on April 22, 2020. Which branches receive customers again

  • The changing rooms may be used.

Woolrich has also reopened some of its branches:

  • Customers must maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.
