Coronavirus and shops

Stores have security rules in place due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Regulation of the Council of Ministers of August 7 this year. on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with an epidemic, extended the obligation to cover the mouth and nose in commercial or service establishments, commercial or service establishments and marketplaces. The obligation may be fulfilled with the use of clothing or parts thereof, a mask, a mask, a visor or a protective helmet.

According to the regulation, the obligation does not apply, inter alia, in the case of a child under 4 years of age and a person who cannot cover his mouth or nose due to, for example, pervasive developmental disorders, mental disorders, as well as intellectual disability.

The retail industry is constantly calling for clarifying the provisions on wearing masks in the store. “A great help in enforcing the wearing of masks in stores would be clarifying the provisions. These provisions are not clear for both sellers and customers” – indicated in the statement on Wednesday, the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber noted that “unnecessary discussions with salespeople and problematic situations in retail and service outlets occur all the time”.
