Every concert evening, the team of volunteers from the Friends of the Berlioz Festival association opens the doors of the château’s outbuilding, where its shop is located, to welcome festival-goers.

Before the concert, during the intermission and at the end of the evening, a dozen people take turns to animate the place, arranged in thematic areas, like a decoration shop, and make it a very warm place. On the shelves, the essentials, always acclaimed.

Stoles, pashminas, chokers, plaids to warm up concert evenings when they get cooler. Souvenir t-shirts, jewelry and classic or original fashion accessories… Over time, the range has expanded by expanding to other areas.

On a nicely set table, decorative objects and small kitchen utensils delight gourmet music lovers. A little further on, the range of office gadgets catches the eye: pencil, eraser, USB key, mouse pad… The set is available in a range of varied colors and patterns reminiscent of Berlioz or more generally, music .

Finance the cultural action of the association

“We try to constantly renew ourselves. This year, we have a collection of porcelain painted by a craftswoman from the city. And we make many fabric and crochet items ourselves. In particular the different types of bags, aprons, toilet bags, and this year, for children, a series of dolls and cuddly toys,” explains Lydie Cuvier, the manager.

“The shop is a way for the association to supply its cash flow to finance its cultural action, the concerts under the kiosk and the painters’ competition”. And also participate in the financing of the concert scheduled for December 11 by Aida (Arts in Isère Dauphiné Alpes), on the occasion of Berlioz’s birthday.
