A number of chaos occurred in the implementation African Cup 2021 (2022). Here are 3 chaos at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is currently taking place in Cameroon since last Sunday (9/1).
A total of 24 countries took part in the biggest football tournament on the African continent.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations will be held at six venues in five cities in Cameroon.
The six stadiums selected to host the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon are Olembe Stadium and Ahmaou Ahidjo Stadium in the capital city of Youunde, Japoma Stadium in Douala, Limbe Stadium in Limbe, Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam and Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua.
Meanwhile, the opening and final matches took place at the Olembe Stadium with a capacity of 60 thousand spectators.
However, after the opening game there was a series of chaos, both on and off the pitch. Here are 3 chaos at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations:
1. Shootout Near the Stadium
A gun battle broke out between Cameroonian government forces and separatist groups.
The incident occurred near the Limbe Stadium, exactly one hour before the Group F match between Tunisia vs Mali took place.
A number of reports said that the shootout forced the Malian national team to stop the warm-up before facing Tunisia.
As a result of the incident, two people were reported to have died and five people were injured.
