WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – One person was injured after a shooting involving two men who were stopped at Oleander Dr. and S College Rd. on Monday night.
Initially reported as a wreck, a spokesperson with WPD said a passenger from one car asked for help from another man in a different car when a fight broke out between the two while they were stopped.
During the incident, one of the men suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot injury and was driven to the hospital by a non-EMS vehicle.
One person has been reported detained and there are currently no charges.
The incident is currently under investigation.
