At least seven people were killed in multiple shootings in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday. In one of the incidents, three people lost their lives and two were injured in a massage parlor on the outskirts of the city, and four more died in two other salons, as reported CNN citing law enforcement authorities.
It is not yet known if the events are related, officials said.
The sheriff’s office said it remains focused on finding a suspect who was seen on surveillance video at the scene at the time of the shooting.
Police said four of the victims were women, apparently of Asian descent, but did not say whether they were employees or clients of one of the sites.
The local news WSBTV.com reported that three of the first victims perished in Cherokee County, and that officials are looking for a suspect in a black car.
The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office posted surveillance photos of the suspect on its Facebook, and has asked citizens to share them.
