A manhunt has been launched by the American authorities to find the individual who caused chaos in the New York subway on Tuesday in the middle of the morning rush hour, leaving several wounded by bullets.
The suspect sprang into action at the 36th Street station in the Brooklyn area. After donning a gas mask, he detonated two smoke grenades.
As the devices began to emit thick smoke, the man grabbed his handgun, a 9mm Glock, and opened fire on the occupants of the car.

The shooter is equipped with multiple high-capacity magazines, but the weapon reportedly jammed, according to CNN.
Quickly, amateur photos and videos appeared on social media, showing pools of blood and people lying on the ground.

According to the authorities, ten people out of a total of 29 wounded were hit by bullets, but none were in mortal danger at midday. Some were in critical condition, but their lives were not in danger.

An important security device has been deployed at 36th Street and 4th Avenue, in the south of Brooklyn, very close to the large cemetery of Greenwood. Ambulances, fire engines and police arrived in large numbers.
