A shooting occurred on Anneessensplein, in the center of Brussels, on Wednesday evening. This is reported by the Brussels local police. No injuries or weapons were found at the scene, but a witness reportedly saw two suspects fleeing the scene.
“Our services were called on Wednesday evening around 9:50 PM by several local residents for shots heard on Anneessensplein,” the Brussels police reported. “A police patrol immediately went to the scene, but found no weapons or injuries. Several people were present, but they had little information.”
However, a witness reported to the police who stated that two people fled before the patrol arrived on the scene. The police have established a safety zone and opened an investigation into the exact facts and circumstances of the incident.
