NEW YORK – Police are searching for the suspected gunman who opened fire on a group of men during a game of dice in Brooklyn Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in the 400 block of Mother Gaston Boulevard and apparently the driver of a black sedan stopped and began shooting at the men around 10:00 pm on Tuesday. The victims, aged between 21 and 29, are in stable condition, the police added.
Four of the victims were shot in the buttocks, left leg, right leg and lower back. The fifth victim was only grazed by the bullet and denied medical attention.
A warehouse worker, in front of where the shooting occurred, said the men ran inside to hide from the shots. “I had just cleaned and everything was bloody in here,” he said.
Police said the suspect was a man, but there are no further details and no arrests have been made.
The gun violence comes two days after eight people were shot not far from the scene in DeKalb Avenue. Five women and three men were shot, said Patrol Borough Brooklyn North Deputy Chief Scott Henderson. Police have also not made an arrest in the case.
