Shooting Injures 4-Year-Old Girl and Man in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – A shooting incident on Wednesday night left two people injured, including a 4-year-old girl. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on the 2000 block of Clementine Street, according to Philadelphia police.

The young girl and a 24-year-old man were standing in an open doorway when an unidentified individual opened fire on the property. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds to the stomach and were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The 4-year-old girl was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she is currently listed in stable condition. The man was transported to an area hospital and is also reported to be in stable condition.

Approximately 15 shots were fired at the scene, causing significant damage to the property. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small stated, “The home where both of these victims were standing when they were shot was also struck several times by gunfire. So it appears that the shooter or shooters were intentionally firing gunshots at this property.”

Authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the incident. Police believe the suspect or suspects may have fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
